Moulded components
General guidelines that should be followed when installing all moulded components are as follows:
- Ensure the area where the component is to be installed is clean and dry. Blow dry with heat gun if damp
- Firmly press the liner into the gutter creases. This will prevent air pockets and form a solid base to weld the stop end to the liner
- Always use the 200mm rule (the liner should be pinned every 200mm across the gutter sole and up the gutter slopes if required)
- With the heat gun tack weld the component into place ensuring the location is correct before a full weld is employed
- The weakest point of any weld is the crease lines on the gutter sole
- Allow the component to cool before probe testing the weld
- Any un-welded areas will need to be re-welded and again probe tested once cool
