Over time, vertical metal cladding can become weathered and deteriorate prematurely if not properly treated. Although damage may be minor, cladding paint will help to keep the environmental elements from damaging the metal, providing a protective barrier over it. Not only does it provide weather protection, but can also add to the aesthetics of the building, improve energy efficiency and add extra fire protection.
Sharmans stock Tikkurila metal and Plastisol cladding paint, specifically formulated to extend and enhance the lifespan of cladding. The products are available in any RAL or BS number, however, we do not supply metallic colours.
When specifying Temadur 20 or 50 from Sharmans through the specification document, you can obtain a Sharmans 10 year material warranty.
Temadur 20
Temadur 20 is a two component, semi matt polyurethane paint used on exterior steel, zinc and aluminium. With anti corrosion pigmentation, it is a versatile paint that is effective as a primer or semi matte topcoat when used in conjunction with an epoxy system and has good weather and abrasion resistance.
Temadur 50
Applied in the same way, Temadur 50 is a semi gloss polyurethane paint for exterior metal and is available in an array of colours. Temadur 50 is a time proven, easy to use general purpose topcoat that is ideal for a range of applications and provides excellent protection against environmental factors. It forms a durable, non chalking top coat that provides good colour retention.
