Moulded stop end with weir
- Ensure the gutter at the stop end is clean and dry. Blow dry with heat gun if damp
- Address the liner to the stop end. (No need to fold the liner to the full height of the stop end)
- Firmly press the liner into the gutter creases. This will prevent air pockets and form a solid base to weld the stop end to the liner
- With the specified fixings supplied, Pin the liner 35mm from the gutter crease on the sole x 2 and 35mm up the gutter slope on both sides of the gutter x 2
- Using the 200mm rule pin the liner every 200mm across the gutter sole and up the gutter slopes if required
- Ensure Sharmans Fixing Caps are installed over all fixings prior to welding
- Place the moulded stop end on the fixed liner and push tight against the original gutter end
- With the heat gun tack weld the stop end across the base of the gutter
- The weakest point of any weld is the crease lines on the gutter sole
- Weld the flange on the stop end to the liner at these points first ensuring the moulded unit is pressed firmly into the gutter crease
- Fully weld the stop end along the gutter sole followed by the gutter slopes to complete the installation
- Allow the stop end to cool before probe testing the weld
- Any un-welded areas will need to be re-welded and again probe tested once cool
- Mechanically fix the relevant angle blank using the specified fixings
