Moulded half tee piece

  • Ensure both gutters leading to the half tee piece are clean and dry. Blow dry with heat gun if damp
  • Run the valley liner to the edge of the boundary gutter trimming any excess liner along the base and along the gutter slopes
  • Run the boundary gutter past the junction of the valley trimming any excess liner along the valley gutter slopes
  • Ensure both liners are pressed firmly into the gutter creases. This will prevent air pockets and form a solid base to weld the half tee piece to the liner
  • Pin the liner tight into the crease lines either side of both gutters. Two pins 35mm from the crease line onto the gutter sole x 4 two per gutter and two pins on the gutter slope 35mm from the crease line x 4 up the slopes of the gutter
  • Using the 200mm rule pin the liner every 200mm across the gutter soles and up the gutter slopes if required
  • Ensure Sharmans Fixing Caps are installed over all fixings prior to welding
  • Place the half tee piece over the top of both gutters ready for welding
  • The weakest point of any weld is the crease lines on the gutter sole. Weld at these points first ensuring the half tee piece is pressed firmly into the gutter creases
  • Fully weld the half tee piece on both gutter soles followed by all four gutter slopes
  • Allow the half tee piece to cool before probe testing any welds
  • Any un-welded area’s will have to be re-welded and again probe tested once cool
