25 year guaranteed gutter refurbishment, thanks to the market leading Plygene® Gutterline system
An integral part of the roof refurbishment works to Thomas Cook’s commercial offices near Falkirk, Scotland, Plygene Gutterline was specified to refurbish the gutter network and prevent leaks for good.
The gutter design complexity included a number of expansion joints that had opened as a result of structural movement and overflows and outlets of varying dimensions that had corroded due to weathering.
Plygene Gutterline was selected by the contractor, Industrial Roofing Scotland, because it’s designed as a “gutter within a gutter” to avoid building disruption, and can also be installed in damp and light rain conditions so isn’t subject to the vagaries of the weather. Additionally, its bespoke moulded components provide a perfect fit to all areas of network complexity and being non-bonded, the system is engineered to remedy traditional problems associated with expansion joints.
Commenting on the successfully completed project, Billy Heffernan, Technical Services Manager for Sharmans said:
“We worked under challenging weather conditions ranging from snow to rain to complete the project on time. Using Sharmans off-site manufacturing capability all bespoke moulded components pre-formed to minimise site works and the the project management team avoided any disruption to the client’s day-to-day operations.”
