The liner should be both pinned and fixed before any hot air welding of the full side outlet can occur.

The illustration shows a typical installation, where the fixings requirements for outlets don’t follow the ‘200 rule’ for other bespoke moulded components.
Fixings requirements for outlets
For any outlet with a diameter up to and including 200mm, four fixings are required.
If the diameter of the outlet is greater than 200mm, then six fixings should be used.
