Prior to hot air welding of the side/sole outlet, the liner should be both pinned and fixed.

Please take care to refer to the current health & safety guide when drilling holes in asbestos cement and other highly bonded materials.
Outlets aren’t subject to the ‘200 rule’ like other bespoke moulded components, as fixing requirements are determined by diameter.
Outlet fixings requirements
If an outlet’s diameter is 200mm or less, it should be secured with four fixings, as in the illustration above.
For diameters in excess of 200mm, this requirements rises to six fixings.
