When drilling holes in asbestos cement and other highly bonded materials, remember to refer to the current health & safety guide.
Unlike other bespoke moulded units, the ‘200 rule’ – requiring a maximum permitted gap of 200mm between fixings – doesn’t apply to outlets.
Fixings requirements for outlets
For outlets up to 200mm in diameter, four fixings are required, as illustrated above.
If an outlet is over 200mm in diameter, then six fixings must be used.
